Through the end of August, your Council has issued 10 construction permits and initiated 7 other actions to enforce our Restrictions & Covenants (R&C’s).  Two of these other actions resulted in the residents demolishing partially built structures that violated the R&C’s.  These instances point out the need for applying for a construction permit prior to the start of any exterior construction projects you may have in mind.  Permits are simple to get.  Go to the Lake Sherwood Acres website at: www.lakesherwoodacres.com.  On the left hand side under “Council,” you can click on “Permit Applications.”  Fill out the form and e-mail it to: rhevey@bellsouth.net.  The Council usually responds to permit requests within a day or two.  Assuming your project meets the requirements of the R&C’s, your permit will be issued within a matter of a few days.
